Chase Kenney is a director and editor who specializes in a raw, unaffected storytelling style that brings to life the human experience.

Originally from Minneapolis, Chase moved to Los Angeles to attend USC's world renowned School of Cinematic Arts' MFA program. After his first short film, Wolves in the Woods, was selected to screen at over twenty film festivals worldwide, he was invited to produce the feature-length film Almost Kings featuring Alex Russell. The film won the 2009 Netflix Find your Voice Film Competition. Chase recently edited the newly released film High Voltage featuring Luke Wilson and David Arquette, which has screened in theaters across the US. 

In addition to narrative films, Chase has become well known as a documentary editor. Burn, a documentary about firefighters in Detroit, premiered at over 300 theaters nationwide and received the audience choice award at the Tribeca Film Festival. Most recently, Chase edited the award-winning documentary Fire on the Hill (Netflix 2019), which has screened at film festivals across the country.

Combining skills from both the documentary and narrative world, Chase recently directed the third season of the hit forensic show, The Coroner on Investigation Discovery. Featuring Coroner Graham Hetrick's most intriguing murder cases, the show has received high ratings both in the US and abroad. 

Through his broad range of experience, Chase has developed a reputation for a bold mix of storytelling with a distinct cinematic flair that has also made him sought-after in the commercial realm. He has directed and edited commercials for numerous multinational commercial clients, including Microsoft, Bud Light, Sperry, Chrysler, Vitamin Water, Adidas, Red Bull, NFL Network, Gucci, Nissan, Capitol Records, Faraday Futures, and Heineken. 

Chase is known for his affable personality and vision as a director, and is a favorite among casting directors and actors for being able to bring out their strongest performances. He is able to work with a variety of personality types from experienced actors to raw documentary subjects. He has directed a variety of celebrity talent for spots including Forest Whitaker, Ringo Starr, and Dave Stewart. His collaborations include a variety of talent, including U.S. Rugby captain Todd Clever and Australian motorbike stunt rider Robbie Maddison.

Chase is presently working on several projects, including Just Keep Smiling, a documentary on the untold story of NBA star Blake Griffin and his dying best friend. Chase also wrote an ambitious pilot, Wild Card, centering around the violence and corruption of a professional football league, that is currently being shopped.
